Pascale Lubin—Head Coach, Queens
Thoughts on the Game:
"We started a little scared. I’m always proud of the girls, they gave their hardest."
Thoughts after the first game:
"I told them they need to fight. No one was really pushing hard. We got a lot
closer in the second and third match, and I think if we maybe have started fighting
earlier we might have had a better chance."
Cassidy Mariano—OH-S, Queens
Playing against their size:
"We knew they were a very athletic team."
Anna Bondarenko—OPP-MH, Queens
"We play a similar style. They were stronger and faster."
Qi Wang—Head Coach, Truman
"The first match is always the hardest match; we knew we needed to be
ready."
Preparing for the next match:
"No preference for the next match. We’ll wait to see who wins and then prepare
for our next match."
Jessica Sears—OH-RS, Truman
Playing on the road in the elite eight:
"It’s very exciting for us. It’s awesome to have the crowd (parents) that traveled
down to watch us play."
Preparing for the next game:
"We're going to sleep well and eat well, and practice and go out and play."
Christine Wagener—S, Truman
Rally at the end of the game:
"I knew we could do it; we needed to get it to the hitters."
