Kim Cherniss, Head Coach, Cal State
General Comment about the game:
"Congratulations to Nebraska-Kearney they played an excellent volleyball game tonight. They were clearly in control of what they were doing on their side of the net. We just never seem to get in the system. We fought pretty hard and we executed well in game three. We played the type of match that we are capable of in game three. They made some nice adjustments and rotated their line up."

Difference between game three and four:
"They played really well. We’re beat up pretty good and we were unable to do some of the things that we wanted to do because we’re stretched pretty thin. We were trying to utilize our tight bench as best we can."

Cathleen Price, MB, Cal State
Comparing last year to this year:
"I felt like we were ready today."

Brianna Harris, OH, Cal State
Recap of year:
"We all came in to win. It’s hard."
What were the thoughts in the second game?:
[It came down to the thought of] "This could be your last game or you can fight back. It was a matter of pushing the buttons. I thought we were going to do it [come back down 2-0]."

Rick Squiers, Head Coach, Nebraska-Kearney
General Comment about the game:
"I think it was the kind of match we thought it might be, it was hard fought. They’re All-American and the player-of-the-year lived up to her billing. We just took advantage of the few opportunities that came along to get a gap and get off to a good start in game one--that was big. In game four we made and early run and that put us in a good position. We played great defense, made some great hustle plays, and stayed aggressive, and did a lot of the things we’ve done all year. Our ball control was solid."

Bethany Spilde, S, Nebraska-Kearney
In game 4 what were the thoughts: (Reporter Question: Did you think the game was yours?)
"Not until the end. That proved to be true in the third game. You can’t give up."

Erin Arnold, OH, Nebraska-Kearney
Comparing last year to this year being in the tournament:
"We were more ready for it. We were more aware of what the other team’s ability. We were hesitant last year. We knew this year we had to play our game and come out strong."

Erin Brosz, MH, Nebraska-Kearney
Difference b/t game 3 and 4:
"We came into game three and let them get a few early; we backed off our game a little. So as soon as game three was over we put it behind us, came out in game four, and we really stepped it up."
