Jeff LaLiberte joins the university’s SID staff as a graduate assistant. As
the GA in sports information, LaLiberte assists with the writing, designing,
and editing of all athletic publications, and other special projects.
LaLiberte earned a B.S. in English, with a minor in telecommunications
from Ball State University in 2004. While at Ball State, LaLiberte
was a member of Lambda Iota Tau (Literature Honorary Society) and played
club volleyball for the school for two years.
Prior to Barry University, LaLiberte spent three years
teaching English at Booker High School in Sarasota, Florida. In addition to his teaching
duties, LaLiberte spent three years coaching volleyball for Booker, two
as the varsity coach. In two years as head coach, three of LaLiberte’s
players went on to play collegiately at Alma College (Alma, MI), Methodist
University (Fayetteville, NC), and Gulf Coast Community College in Panama
City, FL.
While in Sarasota, LaLiberte spent three years as the
co-director of Whitesands Volleyball Club. While at Whitesands VBC, LaLiberte was in charge
of all public relations and web site design in addition to his duties as
the 16’s head coach.
Currently, LaLiberte is enrolled in the M.S. in Sports
Management program at Barry University.
