Annie Perez
Women's Soccer
BA, Communication, 1988

Annie Perez, who attended Barry from 1984-1988, was the University's first female All-American. Perez earned that distinction in 1988, when she led the women's soccer team to a 12-4-2 mark and a berth in the first ever NCAA Division II Tournament. Perez participated in the U.S. Olympic Festival in 1986 and was named to the All-Florida Team in 1985, 1987, and 1988. She also was the Team MVP of the Soccer America Team in 1987 and 1988.

Perez was named Barry University's Female Athlete-of-the-Year in 1985-86, and again in 1988-89. She ranks second on Barry's all-time list in career points (88), goals (37), and game-winning goals (10), while finishing sixth in assists (14). Academically, Perez qualified for the Dean's List three times and the President's List once.
