Kyllene Carter Weiss
Women's Soccer
BS, Business Marketing, 1991

Kyllene Carter was chosen the Honda-Broderick Award winner for NCAA Division II women's soccer in 1990. She played on Barry's first four NCAA Tournament teams and was named NCAA Division II National Player-of-the-Year in 1990. She helped Barry win its first ever National Championship in 1989, earning NCAA Tournament Offensive MVP honors. She was named All-American in 1989 and 1990, and was chosen for the ISAA Senior Recognition Team in 1990. She was named All-America Team MVP as selected by Soccer America her last two seasons at Barry.

On the field, Carter was a defender, but still scored 8 goals -- three were game-winners -- and added 9 assists during her career. Her most productive season was 1989, when she tallied 5 goals and 5 assists, while leading Barry to an undefeated 17-0-1 record. Carter started all 68 games at Barry, helping the Buccaneers earn a combined 54-10-4 record. Her athletic abilities earned her spots at the U.S. Olympic Festival in 1986 -- while still in high school -- and again in 1990.
