Katherine "Katie" Clift Wine set numerous

career records and seven single season records as a pitcher, as
well as one season record as a batter. Among her career records
are lowest earned run average, total strikeouts, and no-hitters.
Her single season records include most victories (25), earned run
average (0.42), and shutouts (13). Clift was the top pitcher on
Barry's 1994 team that reached the Final Six of the NCAA Division
II National Tournament. Her performance earned her the Sunshine
State Conference Player-of-the-Year Award. She was named SSC All-Conference

Wine's career totals are quite impressive: 57-22

and a GTE/CoSIDA Academic All-American (1993 and 1994). She was
named Academic All-American by the NSCA in 1992. |
