Karen Zorsky was an outstanding performer both on the softball field and in the classroom. Zorsky graduated from Barry Magna Cum Laude in 1993 and also finished near the top of the charts on the school's all-time softball record lists. Zorsky was named an Academic All-American in 1993, as well as being selected as a member of the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll in 1991, 1992, and 1993. She was chosen as Barry University's Scholar-Athlete-of-the-Year in 1992.

Zorsky has cemented her name on numerous all-time lists at Barry, including doubles (3rd), triples (3rd), extra-base hits (4th), RBI's (5th), career hits (6th), total bases (7th), walks (8th), runs (9th), game-winning hits (9th), and home runs (10th). During her four seasons at Barry, she helped the Bucs earn an overall record of 144-51.
