Mickisha Hurley

Mickisha Hurley is the most dominate volleyball
player to play for the Buccaneers. She was a First Team All-American
in 1994 and 1995, and led the nation in hitting percentage in '94
at .437 (a school record). She led Buccaneers to the NCAA II national
championship in 1995 and was voted to the Elite Eight All-Tournament
team. Hurley was a three-time All-South Region selection, and was
a four-time All-Sunshine State Conference choice. She was voted
the SSC's Player-of-the-Year in 1995 and named the league's Athlete-of-the-Year
in June, 1996. Hurley is the only small college player on the USA
Women's National Volleyball Team. She traveled to the Far East in
August 1997 for the World Grand Prix Championships. She competed
for the West Squad at the 1994 U.S. Olympic Festival. Mickisha holds
six Barry career records: Kills (1683), Total Attacks (3432), Hitting
Percentage (.385), Block Solos (127), Block Assists (332), and Total
Blocks (459). She also holds five single season marks and three
single match records. |
