Jennifer Strong
Women's Soccer

Jennifer Strong was the key player on the 1993
Barry University NCAA National Championship women's soccer team
as a central defender. The native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
was named First Team All-American in 1995 and was named to the NCAA
All-Tournament team in 1993. She was an All-Region choice in 1993.
Know as a tenacious defender, Strong transferred to Barry from the
University of Connecticut after her sophomore year. At the University
of Connecticut, she was a NSCAA Freshman All-American and toured
Europe with the U.S. National Team during 1992. She was a member
of the USA National Team in 1996. Jennifer is still considered one
of the top five players ever to compete for the Buccaneers.
Jennifer played in the 1996 Umbro Select All-Star
Game. She is currently attending medical school at the Philadelphia
College of Osteopathic Medicine. She competes in mountain bike races,
enjoys rugby, and plays for the men's club soccer team at her school. |
