Patrick Rittenauer earns First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District Nod

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Barely a week removed from helping the men’s tennis team finish runner-up at the NCAA Division II Spring Sports Festival, senior Patrick Rittenauer tabbed as a First-Team CoSIDA Academic All-District III 2008 selection to the spring men’s at-large team.  Voting was conducted among District III sports information directors
 
Rittenauer maintained a 3.96 GPA while holding down a dual major in international studies and political science.
 
This season Rittenauer posted a 7-7 record in limited duties at the #1 slot while guiding the team to the Southeast Region Championship.  He earned a Second-Team All-SSC nod in doubles with fellow Buc Ales Svigelj. The duo combined for a 11-7 record and a 4-0 mark in SSC play.
 
Rittenauer is a three-time ITA singles All-American and two-time doubles All-American. In singles, he has racked up a 56-13 mark, which ranks sixth in wins and seventh in percentage. In doubles, he’s been even better with a 74-15 mark which is second for wins and first in winning percentage.
