MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – The Barry University men’s basketball team will play 12 home games during the 2009-10 season including seven SSC home games in January and February.
The Bucs open the season at home in an exhibition game against Johnson & Wales on Nov. 11 at 7:00 pm.
Regular season competition starts a week later at home as the Bucs take on Florida Memorial on the 18th. On the 25th the Bucs draw Puerto Rico-Mayaguez at home at 7:00 pm.
On Nov 27 and 28 the Bucs take on Catawba and West Virginia State at the NSU Thanksgiving Classic at Nova Southeastern.
The Bucs play Palm Beach Atlantic twice in the season, first on the road on Dec. 1, and later at home on Feb. 6.
The Bucs are only home twice in December, playing in their SSC opener against Florida Southern on Dec 5, and taking on St. Thomas on Dec. 18. The remainder of Dec. is spent on the road, taking on cross-town rivals Florida Memorial and St. Thomas on Dec 9 and 12 respectively. The Bucs wrap up December in the Pepsi/DoubleTree Suites Holiday Classic at Lynn University on Dec. 20 and 21 against Valdosta State and Mansfield.
The remainder of the Bucs season is spent in SSC action. In January the Bucs get Florida Tech, Nova Southeastern, and Saint Leo at home, and travel to Eckerd, Rollins, Lynn, Tampa, and Florida Southern.
The Bucs spend the majority of their time in February at home, playing Eckerd Rollins, Tampa and Lynn. The Bucs travel to Nova Southeastern and Florida Tech in February before closing out the regular season at Saint Leo on Feb 27.
