Men’s Soccer Plays To A Draw With The Spartans

TAMPA, Fla.—The Barry men’s soccer team tied the Tampa Spartans 2-2 at Peppin Field on Saturday.
 
The goals were all scored in the first half as the Spartans (4-3-2, 1-1-1 SSC) scored first on a Gregory Guerrero goal at 6:41, which was assisted by Luke Enna. Barry (6-3-1, 0-2-1 SSC) answered with a goal from Jason Wiles at 18:18. The teams then traded goals as Tampa’s Martin Zarate (30:52) and Barry’s Pat Anderson (33:33) scored to tie the game at 2-2.
 
Bob Luckenbaugh started in goal for Tampa, where he recorded two saves in the first half. Colby West recorded four saves for the Spartans in the second half and both overtimes. ChrisRich made two saves for the Bucs.
 
The Bucs will host the Eckerd Tritons on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 7:00 pm in their next outing.
