FT. MYERS, Fla. – The Barry University women’s golf team finished third out of three teams at the 2005 FGCU Invitational earlier today hosted at the Miramar Lakes Golf Club. The Bucs carded a two-round score of 632 (325-307) and finished just three strokes behind host Florida Gulf Coast (319-310=629) who finished second. Florida Southern won the tournament title honors with a two-round 601 (301-300) score.
RemiJin Camping finish third out of 18 to lead the Buccaneers. She carded a two-round 153 (77-76) score, while Johanna Soderstrom finished six strokes back in eighth-place with a two-round 159 (83-76) score. Both Michelle Torry (86-76) and Shannon Langhardt (79-83) carded identical 162 two round scores, while Kelly Kronen rounded out the top five with a two-round 166 (87-79) score.
Florida Southern’s Lindsey Bergeon fired two even par rounds of 72 and finished as the tournament individual medalist with a two-round 144.
The Buccaneers will return to the links on Oct 17-18 at the Saint Leo Invitational hosted at the Lake Jovita Country Club.
