PENSACOLA, Fla.—The 24th-ranked Barry Buccaneers earned a moral victory with a 1-1 draw against the third-ranked West Florida Argonauts at the UWF Soccer Field on Sunday, snapping the Argonauts’ 14-match winning streak.

Emelie Karlsson knotted the game in the 32nd minute, collecting the ball out of a scramble at the top of the 18-yard box and ripping a shot to the back post.

Brianna Oeser had given UWF a 1-0 lead in the 17th minute, heading the ball past Kelly Tryson in goal off a CiCi Marrero free kick.

Neither team could break the plane after Karlsson tally, ending the game in a 1-1 draw. Tryson stopped 13 of the Argonauts’ 29 shots, while Klara Vrbova made one save for UWF on 15 shots by the Bucs.

Barry returns home on Friday, Oct. 21 to host the Florida Tech Panthers in the final regular season home game at 7:00 pm.
