Women's Soccer Falls In Regional To Tampa

PENSACOLA, Fla.--The University of Tampa Spartans (14-1-2) defeated the Barry Buccaneers (13-3-2) 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer South Region Tournament at the UWF Soccer Field on Friday.
 
The Spartans scored one goal in the first half, from Kara Rassmussen, to lead 1-0 at the break.
 
In the second half, Shelbi Kuni and Brittany Evans each added goals to make the final margin 3-0. Samantha Robinson had three assists.
 
Shannon Aitken made six saves for the Spartans, while Kelly Tryson had two for the Buccaneers.
