Game 10 of NCAA Division II Softball South Regional

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. – Second seed University of Alabama-Huntsville (52-8) took out Rollins College 3-0 in game 10 of the NCAA Division II Softball South Regional. The Chargers ran past the Tars behind a solid performance by pitcher Sage Woodham (22-5).

Woodham stifled the Rollins line up only giving up four six while striking out six. Beth Lawson belted her 11th homerun of the season in the sixth, a two run shot which put the game out of reach for the Tars.

Kristina Prater added the other RBI for the Chargers.

Rachel Foster (14-9) took the loss for Rollins despite striking out a game high nine batters. She was tagged for three runs, all earned on seven hits.

Rollins ends the season with a 39-16 overall record.

The Chargers advances to face fourth seed University of Tampa at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 10th at Buccaneer Field.
