MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Princess Bailey and Mariesa Greene were both named to the second team on the Daktronics, Inc., All-South Region squad after leading the Buccaneers to a 15-13 mark this season.
Bailey, a 5-6 senior guard, led the team in scoring (12.5) for the third straight year and was second in rebounding (6.2), assists (2.6), blocks (22) and steals (62). She finished her career as the only player in school history to rank in the top 10 in all counting stats.
Greene, a 6-0 sophomore, led the team in rebounding (9.0) and was second in scoring (12.3). She added 26 assists, 21 blocks and 23 steals.
The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

All five members of each first team of the eight regions across the country advance to the national ballot for consideration on the 2008-09 Daktronics Women’s Basketball All-America Team. All NCAA Division II sports information directors select that team. The student-athlete receiving the most votes will be the National Player of the Year. The All-America team will be announced next week.
