Men's Golf Ranked Second In Preseason Poll

NEW YORK, NY—In the first Golf World/NIKE Golf Division II Men's Golf Coaches’ Poll, the Barry Buccaneers are picked second behind only Georgia College. The Bucs picked up four of the 18 first-place votes, while the Bobcats had five. Defending national champs Sonoma State had seven first-place votes, but finished fifth in the poll.

The Buccaneers finished fourth at the NCAA Division II National Tournament in 2009 and have two returning All-Americans in seniors Victor Billskoog and Carlos Velez. The Bucs open the fall season at the Laker Invitational hosted by Clayton St. in Atlanta, Ga., at Crystal Lake Golf and CC Sept. 21-22.

Rounding out the top-five are Columbus State (No. 3), and Lynn (No. 4)
