SAVANNAH, Ga.—The Barry Buccaneers opened the AASU/Chatham Orthopedics Pirate Volleyball Classic with a 3-0 win (25-23, 25-21, 25-21) over the Flagler Saints at Armstrong Atlantic’s Alumni Arena on Friday.
Outside hitters Julia Ridley and Ady Alcantara each had 10 kills, while Ridley paced the squad with nine digs and Libby Walter had 15 assists to lead the team to a .333 hitting percentage.
The Bucs take on the Lander Bearcats at 4:00 pm and close out the tournament with two matches on Saturday.
