Scott Freer is the head athletic trainer and clinical instructor at Barry University. Scott previously served as the head athletic trainer at St. Thomas University for five years. He is a 2005 graduate of the Master’s of Movement Science program at Barry University with a specialization in athletic training. While in graduate school, he worked in the Buccaneer training room as a graduate assistant to head trainers Jessica Mora and Joe Kanefsky.

He received his undergraduate degree from the Florida International University in exercise & sport science in 2000. He holds a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a performance enhancement specialist and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).

He is married to the former Jeanette Tejada, an alumna of Barry’s rowing team.
