Freeman comes to Barry University from Portland, Maine and will enter his first season as an assistant coach with the Bucs and will also help with the pitchers this season.

 

He was a coach at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine for the 2006, 2007 seasons. His team made the post season tournament both seasons and two of his pitchers made the All-Conference team. Prior to that, he served as pitching coach at Cheverus High School which is located in Portland, Maine. During his time there as a coach, the pitching staff ranked in the top three in ERA in the Southwestern Maine Activities Association Conference. 

 

Freeman played his college ball at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, where he pitched for the Panthers from 1997- 2001. He earned a B.S. in physical education and after his collegiate experience culminated, he taught physical education at a local middle school.

 

Freeman is currently pursuing his M.S. in sport management here at Barry.
