Batted .375 with two home runs, six doubles, 20 runs, 25 RBI and eight stolen bases as a hitter and a 5-3 record 1.13 ERA, 75 strikeouts and two saves in 76 innings as a pitcher ... Recorded a career .385 batting average with seven homers, 24 doubles, 42 runs, 54 RBI and 18 stolen bases ... Finished his pitching career with a 23-7 record from the hill, a 2.41 ERA, 241 strikeouts and 12 saves in 312 innings ... Earned team’s Most Valuable Player Award in both baseball and football.
