Emerged as the everyday designated hitter for the Bucs in 2008 ... Showed discipline and a willingness to wait for his pitches, as he had a 2:1 walk to strikeout ratio...  A lefty bat in the lineup ... Great overall work ethic and discipline at the plate ... Has significant strength and power ... Has the potential to be one of the best hitters and run producers on the team ... Always the last to leave the field.

JUNIOR (2008): Played and started in 46 games... Recorded 13 doubles and 38 RBI... Second on the team in walks with 31... Led the team in a dubious category of 12 hit-by-pitches... Finished with a perfect fielding percentage on 19 attempts.  

JUNIOR COLLEGE: Played at Brevard CC under coach Ernie Plosseau ... Recorded a .393 batting average with 40 RBI which ranked third in the FCCAA (Florida Community Colleges Athletics Asssociation).

HIGH SCHOOL:  Played at Andover High under coach Ken Maglio ... A three-year letter winner for the Warriors in baseball ... Also earned three letters in football ... Recorded a .415 batting average with 35 RBI, and one home run as a senior ... Led all high school players in Massachusettes wih 11 triples and ranked second in the state in RBI ... Holds Andover’s school record with eight RBI in a single game ... A MVC All-Star selection.

 

PERSONAL: Son of Brian and Paula Keefe ... Has one sister, Brianne ... Majoring in political science.
