For more than 25 years, Barry University has been educating student athletes who excel, not only in their sport of choice, but also in classrooms, in laboratories, and in the communities where they give back. Barry's formula for intercollegiate athletics has produced winning teams and winning graduates who are thriving in the workplace as leaders in their chosen fields.

The Bucs have advanced at least five of their 12 teams to NCAA post-season play in each of the last 14 years and have claimed nine NCAA Division II National Championships. More than 60 percent of Barry's student-athletes earned grade point averages of 3.0 or higher in for the past nine semesters.

The Buccaneers compete in the prestigious Sunshine State Conference (SSC). Barry has won 46 SSC titles in 12 different sports since it joined the conference in 1988. The Buccaneers have also won the SSC Mayors Cup All-Sports Trophy on eight occasions: five for women in 1990-91, 1996-97, 1999-00, 2001-02 and 2005-06; and three for men in 2006-07, 2008-09 and 2010-11.
