Fernanda Brino earned Barry University Female Athlete-of-the-Year for the second straight season after leading the Bucs to the 2004 NCAA Division II National Volleyball Championship. She led the team in kills, digs and aces, earning Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, All-Region and All-America honors.

Nick Ellingsworth-Perez was named the Male Athlete-of-the-Year. He led the Bucs to a school-record 23 wins, including 10 in the SSC, breaking the single season rebound mark by 50 and scoring 573 points, good for second all-time at Barry. The Bucs also captured the NCAA Division II Disney Tip-off Classic and earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history.
