Willie Whitfield blocked three shots last week to move into first-place on Barry's career chart for blocked shots, passing previous record-holder Mark Thomas (150 blocks -- 1997-01). Whitfield, with at least 10 games left in his senior year, has 153 blocks.
Adrienne Hicks' buzzer-beater, part of her game-high 17 points, lift women's basketball over the Lynn Fighting Knights for their first Sunshine State Conference win of the season. She added five rebounds, a block and a steal in the 54-52 win.
