Ildiko Csordas led the Bucs to a season-opening win over the Florida Tech Panthers by taking the #1 singles 6-1, 6-0 from Michaela Horvathova and teaming with Helen Wisniewski for an 8-3 win at #1 doubles. Csordas is ranked 20th in Division II in singles.

Felipe Barrios led the Bucs to a pair of South Region wins, averaging a double-double. He scored a season-high 20 points and added 14 rebounds against Palm Beach Atlantic, leading the team in both categories. He also led the team with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Florida Southern as the Bucs moved into a tie for first place in the SSC.
