Fabian Groetsch, a freshman, won all three of his matches, including a straight sets win over the No. 34-ranked player in the NAIA. He also partnered with Marco Mokrzycki to win a pair of doubles matches, including one over the No. 19-ranked team in the nation.

Brianna Smith led the Bucs to a 4-0 mark at the UAH Charger Chillout. She tossed three perfect innings to earn her second save of the season against Augusta State on Friday and also connected for a solo homer, the first of the year for the team. On Saturday, she shutout third-ranked North Georgia 1-0, beating the 2011 national pitcher of the year Jessica Coan. She allowed five hits and a walk and worked out of jams in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings when the Saints got runners in scoring position. She closed out the game in the seventh by striking out the side.
