Brianna Smith tossed a pair of shutouts to lift the Bucs over the Sharks. In game one, she made a first-inning run stand up for her fourth straight series opening shutout. In the finale, she used only 84 pitches to complete the shutout, her sixth in seven SSC starts. She held the Sharks to one hit in 10 AB with runners on base and retired all seven batters she faced with two outs.
Marcus Segerstrom led the Bucs to their first team title of the spring with a 65-66-74--210 (-5) at the par 70 Bobcat Intercollegiate. Tied for third, he had 14 birdies for the tournament. His 65 in the first round tied the Barry record for fewest strokes in a round.
