Greta Trotman went 3-0 in singles and 3-0 in doubles for the Bucs this week. She knocked off the nationally ranked play from West Florida at number 2, and then moved into the #1 slot and beat #22 Anne Corten of Valdosta State and the #1 player from Delta State. The three wins on the week moved her past Vanessa Campello and Victoria Courmes into second place on the Buccaneer all-time singles wins chart with 70. She is one win away from tying the school record of 71 set by Valeria Papandrea from 2000-03.
Orestes Gonzalez hit .522 with three doubles, four homers and 11 RBI as the Bucs went 3-1-1 for the week. He raised his batting average from .263 to .314 with five straight with five straight multi-hit games. He led the Bucs to a doubleheader sweep of #23 Lynn at the McCusker Sportsplex by going five for nine with three doubles, a homer and four RBI. He followed that up with a three for five day on Sunday to make him 8-for-14 (.571) in the conference series. He also homered against NCAA Division I Harvard. Against Palm Beach Atlantic, he homered twice and drove in five runs.
