Dean Green led the 28th-ranked Buccaneers to a series win over the #14 Florida Southern Mocs in Lakeland to vault the Bucs into 1st-place in the SSC at the half-way point of the season. Green hit safely in every game, with multiple hit in both Buccaneer wins. In the doubleheader sweep on Saturday, he was 6-for-8 with three doubles, a homer and five RBI. His two-run homer in the first game was the difference in the 4-2 ballgame. He also collected 18 putouts. He went 4-for-4 in the finale.

Brianna Smith collected a hit in very game for the Buccaneers as Barry swept Nova Southeastern. She posted a gaudy .750 average for both batting and on-base percentage. In the circle, she tossed two complete games and only gave up two earned runs in that span while striking out seven. Her season ERA has now dipped down to a mere 1.08.
