Svensson was a runaway winner, shooting 66-68-68 to finish at 14-under 202. He broke the school record for low round in a 54-hole tournament, beating the mark of 10-under 203, set by Carlos Velez in the 2009-10 season at the Sunshine State Conference Championships. Barry shot 8-under 856, holding off Central Missouri by two strokes on the 7,180-yard Brickyard Crossing Golf Course.
Nicky Ferre finished second and led the Bucs to the team title at the Florida Gulf Coast University Eagle Invitational. Sophomore Ferre was the tournament runner-up after shooting 75-71 -- 146. Barry, who finished the two-day, two-round, rain-shortened tournament with a team score of 296-300 -- 596, was awarded the title after the tiebreaker was determined by the fifth player, or non-team score counting participant, scores were tabulated from each round.
