Samara de Freitas was named the MVP of the Cactus Classic after leading the Bucs to a 3-0 mark in the tournament. She averaged 4.08 kills per game, hitting .236, and also chipped in 1.0 blocks per game. She came up clutch in a taunt five-game win over Northwest Nazarene with 26 kills and five blocks, hitting .370.

Jason Wiles rallied the Bucs to a 3-1 road win over the Florida Tech Panthers. After spotting the Panthers a 1-0 lead, Wiles scored twice on free kicks, first to tie then to take the lead. He also added a brilliant chip pass over the defense to Henry Apaloo for an insurance goal. Wiles leads the team with three assists.
