MIAMI – The 29th Annual Barry University Athletic Awards Banquet will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Jungle Island at 5:00 pm.
The ceremony honors the athletic and academic achievements of Barry’s nearly 200 student-athletes. University faculty and administrators from each school will be present to honor our graduating seniors and over 450 additional individuals will be present for this special event.
The banquet will begin at 5:00 pm with the procession and honoring of our senior Student-Athletes starting at 5:30 pm. The first award will be the Sister Jeanne O’Laughlin Service Award. That is followed by dinner, highlight videos for all 12 teams, the presentation of team awards, including all 12 varsity sports, cheerleading and athletic training. After the presentation of the trophy for the CHAMPS/Lifeskills winner, the banquet concludes with the announcement of the male and female “Professor Emerita Neill Miller Scholar-Athletes of the Year” and male and female Athletes of the Year.
For just the second time, the awards ceremony will be broadcast live on the Buccaneer Broadcasting Network, powered by Stretch Internet.
