ALLENDALE, Mich. -- Barry University sophomore men's golfer Adam Svensson earned NCAA Division II Ping First-Team All-American honors, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Bucs rookie Mario Beltran was named to the Freshmen All-America Team.

Svensson, who finished as the individual runner-up at the NCAA Championships Wednesday at The Meadows Golf Course, won a school record seven tournaments this year. It is the second straight year Svensson, the No. 1-ranked player in Division II, earned First-Team All-American honors.

Beltran won two tournaments this season, both on a co-medalist basis in the fall.

The Bucs finished second as a team in the NCAA Championships stroke play, advancing to the match play quarterfinals. Follow match play results HERE.
