
Scott Freer, MS, ATC, LAT
Head Athletic Trainer and Clinical Instructor
Scott Freer was hired as the head athletic trainer and clinical instructor at Barry University in Aug. 2008.
Freer previously served as the head athletic trainer at St. Thomas University for five years. He is a 2005 graduate of the Master’s of Movement Science program at Barry University with a specialization in athletic training. While in graduate school, he worked in the Buccaneer athletic training room as a graduate assistant to head athletic trainers Jessica Mora and Joe Kanefsky.
He received his undergraduate degree from the Florida International University in exercise & sport science in 2000. He holds a certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a performance enhancement specialist, and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
He is married to the former Jeanette Tejada, an alumna of Barry’s rowing team. They have a son, Scott, and daughter, Kimberly.
