Coordinator of Academic Success & Support Services
Tiffany Nicholson joined the School of Human Performance and Leisure Sciences as the Academic Success & Student Services Coordinator in September 2013. As coordinator, she oversees the academic support services for Barry University student-athletes which include academic progress tracking, coordination of support resources, and advising.
She has worked in the student services arena for over 20 years. She began her career at Bloomfield College in New Jersey. In 1997, she took a job at Florida Atlantic University and relocated to south Florida where she served as advisor in the College of Business and would later become Associate Director of Student Services.
A native of East Orange, NJ, Nicholson attended Emmanuel College in Boston, MA where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Economics. While a student, she competed collegiately in women’s basketball. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Human Services from Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ.
