Nick Ellingsworth-Perez
Nick Ellingsworth-Perez
Assistant Coach

Nick Ellingsworth-Perez enters his third season after a stellar playing career with the Bucs. He works with the Buccaneer post players. He spent the spring and summer playing professionally in England and Germany.

The only player in school history to earn Sunshine State Conference Player-of-the-Year honors, he led the Bucs to the NCAA Tournament as a senior in 2004-05, the first-ever bid for Barry in men’s basketball.

Ellingsworth-Perez was the Bucs’ leading scorer for his last two seasons, averaging 17.9 points per game. He set a Barry record with 321 rebounds (10.0 per game) and was named to the All-America teams by both the Basketball Times and Daktronics, Inc. He finished his career as the third-leading scorer (1,292 points) and second-leading rebounder (767 rebounds) in school history.

A standout for coach Jeff Cavallo at Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Fla., he was named Broward County 1-3A Player of the Year as a senior by the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel after averaging 22 points and 13 rebounds. He is the son of Laura Ellingsworth and Rolando Perez. He is working on his bachelor’s degree in sports management.
