NEW YORK -- Barry University men's golf team remained No. 1 in the Golf World/Nike Golf NCAA Division II Coaches poll.
The Buccaneers received 13 of the 20 first-place votes and 511 points. Lynn earned six first-place votes and 457 points. South Carolina-Aiken is third with 424 points. Malone received the other first place vote, but is ranked 10th with 302 points.
Barry has been ranked No. 1 all season.
The Buccaneers will play in three tournaments over the next three weeks beginning with Monday and Tuesday's St. Edward's Invitational in Austin, Texas. Barry has never won the tournament, but has finished second four times. The Bucs were runner-up in 2007 and the last three years. Erstwhile Bucs golfer Danny Stapff, now competing on the PGA Latin Tour, shot a tournament-low 9-under in 2012.
Barry's five-man roster competing in next week's tournament at the 6,909-yard Grey Rock Golf Club includes the No. 1-ranked player in the nation, Adam Svensson, No. 21 Jared Dalga, No. 34 Mario Beltran, No. 119 Berry Jole and No. 118 Scott Smyers.
Barry hosts the Buccaneer Invitational Mar. 31-Apr. 1 at Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Beach.
