WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Barry University men's tennis team took a 3-0 lead after doubles in its Sunshine State Conference match at Rollins before rain suspended singles until Sunday.

The No. 2 Buccaneers (15-2, 4-0 SSC) and No. 20 Tars (8-8, 1-1) will resume at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Following the completion of singles, Barry will travel across town in the Orlando area for its match against NCAA Division I No. 60-ranked Central Florida.

Barry's No. 1 doubles team of Ahmed Triki and Oli Lemaitre, ranked No. 3 in the nation, beat Will Kwok and Jason Alabaster, 8-3. The Bucs senior tandem of Romain Costamagna and Leo Vivas beat Adrian DeFelice and Cooper Maxwell also by an 8-3 score. Renato Lombardi and Kevin Sielmann defeated Ari Davis and Jacobo Herrero, 8-4, at No. 3.

A storm rolled in over Rollins' Martin Tennis Complex as singles was set to begin.

Lombardi and Sielmann are 7-0 as a duo, including a 6-0 record at No. 3 doubles. Triki and Lemaitre improved to 7-2, six of those wins coming at the top flight. Costamagna and Vivas are a team-leading 13-3 in doubles play with all but one of those matches played at the No. 2 spot.
