MELBOURNE, Fla. –Senior goalkeeper Becca Rogers of Barry University earned Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week for October 20 - 26.
Rogers provided Barry with two shutouts during a 1-0-1 week. Rogers stopped nine shots in route to a 0-0 double overtime draw at Florida Tech. During a 2-0 victory over Florida Southern, she stopped the only shot she faced. The efforts of Rogers have positioned the Buccaneers to repeat as SSC champions. Barry holds a 10-1-2 overall record, 6-0-1 heading into the final game of the season.
The Bucs close out the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 4:30 pm.
