WINTER PARK, Fla.--Tyler Hardy averaged 26.5 points and 11 points in the Buccaneers pair of wins to give them four-straight wins heading into 2014.

For her efforts, Hardy has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week Presented by VALIC. It is the second straight award for Hardy, who leads the conference in scoring at 20.8 points per game.

The Ann Arbor, Mich. native scored 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds in Barry’s 86-63 win over Johnson & Wales. On Saturday, Hardy followed that effort with a game-high 28 points and 14 rebounds in a 63-58 win over Florida Southern. The senior made 11-of-19 field goals and finished the week shooting just under 60 percent from the field.

The Bucs return to the friendly confines of the Health & Sports Center this week, hosting the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Wednesday and the Saint Leo Lions on Saturday.
