WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Barry sophomore Adam Svensson has been recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Men's Golfer of the Week presented by VALIC. It is the third time this season he has been selected for the league's weekly honor.

Svensson, a native of Surrey Vancouver, British Columbia, won a program-record sixth individual title of the season after winning the Buccaneer Invitational at Normandy Shores Golf Club. His second round score of 61 set a school, tournament and course record. Svensson shot a 69-61-70 through the three rounds for a 13-under-par 200, which is also a program record. The sophomore led the Buccaneers to a fifth tournament victory this season.
