Barry rolled through the match against the Lake State Lakers when it dashed to a nine-point first-set lead en route to a 17-kill, two-error, .517-attack percentage 1-0 match lead. The Bucs hit .414 in the second set, winning by an identical margin, putting away 14 kills in the process.

Lake Superior (2-3) hit .000 in the second set.

The Lakers put away 12 kills in the third set, jumping out to a lead the Buccaneers couldn't recover from, despite making a late surge. Barry had eight kills in the third set, but hit .000 itself as LSSU cut the match to 2-1.

But when Buccaneers senior setter Mima Hajdukovic served up three straight aces it set the tone in the decisive set. Barry had 10 kills, attacking at a .375 clip, in the final set to wrap it up.

Hajdukovic had 40 assists, eight kills, three aces, two blocks and five digs, hitting .533 against Lake Superior State. Tania Torres, whose 16 punctuation mark kills resoundingly hit the floor routinely, hit .290. Tashalyn Begon had seven kills, Alicia Guerrero six, and Laine Cielena and Ashley Carrero each had five.

Cielena accounted for four of Barry's nine blocks, which included one solo. Torres and Guerrero each had three blocks, while Hajdukovic and Jayla Trombley had two apiece. Lake State had two blocks.
