SAINT LEO, Fla. -- Vlad Raymonvil had no idea he had just hit a milestone.

"No," Raymonvil said. "I mean, I knew I was up there ..."

A senior from Miami, Raymonvil sank his 100th career free throw Wednesday against No. 8 Florida Southern. He ranks second all-time in free throw shooting percentage at 82.0 in his four-year Buccaneer career. Brent Williams (1990-93) currently ranks first all-time at 82.4 percent from the line. Raymonvil has seven regular season games and one guaranteed postseason game to become the school's all-time leader at the line.

Nick Ellingsworth-Perez holds the school record for free throws made at 300, but Raymonvil and Williams are tops when it comes to percentage from the stripe. Fellow senior Bryan Van Cott ranks fifth all-time with a 79.1 career mark from the stripe.

"It's definitely a great accomplishment, but if I had to pick between that and making the (NCAA) Tournament, I'd take going to the tournament any day," Raymonvil said.

Barry's quest to get on tournament track continues 4 p.m. Saturday as the Buccaneers play at No. 29 Saint Leo in the longest bus trip of the season. The Buccaneers (9-10, 3-7 Sunshine State Conference) lost, 84-79, to the Lions (16-4, 8-2) in double overtime on Jan. 12 in Miami Shores.

The Bucs sit in seventh place in the SSC. The Lions are a game out of first place. The eighth and ninth seeds will play each other in a play-in game at the SSC Tournament at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, Fla., March 6. The tournament finals will be decided Mar. 9.

Barry overcame a 13-point lead against the Lions in the first meeting, sending the game into two extra periods when they shot over 50 percent after the first half. Saint Leo's Marcus Ruh had 22 points, and Jerrel Harris had 21 in that game. Barry's Magne Fivelstad had a career-high 17 points and pulled down eight boards against the Lions.

Yet the Bucs let the game slip away in the second overtime after Chad Renfro's jumper with three minutes left put Barry ahead by one. Saint Leo used a 10-4 run over the final 2:42 to win.

"We're ready for this game," Raymonvil said. "We felt we should've won that (first) game, but we kind of gave it up. We're definitely prepared. Mentally and physically, we're trying to bounce back from a loss. We just have to play for 40 minutes. The second half we kind of deviate from the game plan. Just mental lapses that add up.

"We feel pretty good. The good thing about playing at Barry is that we get to travel the night before the game, and get some rest. We feel good about our game plan. They're a great team. We respect the teams in the SSC. But we think it's about time that we start turning the corner and make a run toward the postseason."
