Men's Tennis No. 2 in March ITA Poll

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University men's tennis team jumped two spots to No. 2 in the NCAA Division II poll released Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Buccaneers (16-0) beat No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic last weekend, but the results were compiled before the match. Barry ended the Pirates' 42-match win streak in the win.

Division II polls are released on a monthly basis. The next poll is scheduled to be released May 1.

Senior Marco Mokrzycki is ranked No. 4 in singles. Sophomore Fabian Groetsch is No. 19. Senior Max Wimmer is No. 22. Mokrzycki and Groetsch remain No. 2 nationally in doubles. Wimmer and junior Leo Vivas are No. 7.

Barry plays at No. 4 Lynn (13-3) at 11 a.m. Saturday in Boca Raton.
