MIAMI SHORES, Fla.—Barry women’s basketball coach Bill Sullivan announced four more additions for the 2013-14 season, bringing the total to 15 players, including eight newcomers.

Guards Ines Kerin, Monique Plummer, Lynae Richardson and Amari Bradshaw join the early group of forwards Sharnese Neal, Kaylia Richardson and Nyjah Porcher and guard Ashley Lutz on the team for this season.

Kerin, a 5-7 junior from Murray State Community College, is an intelligent combo guard who has ability to drive to the basket and is an accurate long distant shooter. She helped lead the Aggies to a 20-7 record, averaging 7.6 points per game while shooting 32.1 percent from three-point range and 81.8 percent from the free-throw line.

“Ines is a smart, experienced guard,” Sullivan said. “We are especially impressed with her high basketball IQ, her passing skills and her long-range shooting.”

Plummer, a 5-3 point guard from the Community College of Rhode Island, was a teammate of Nyjah Porcher. The pair led the Lady Knights to a 25-7 mark as sophomores. Plummer averaged 6.7 points, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game. She shot 28.4 percent from three-point range on 104 attempts and 70.8 percent from the line.

“Monique is a quick, skilled point guard who plays with a lot of determination,” Sullivan said. “We are fortunate to have Monique as a member of our Barry basketball family.”

Richardson, a 5-10 junior from St. Petersburg College, has the size to work inside and range to be a threat from the perimeter. With the Lady Titans, she came off the bench to average 2.7 points per game and shoot 25.6 percent from three-point range.

“Lynae excels in the classroom and on the court,” Sullivan said. “She is crafty scorer around the basket and can shoot the three-pointer as well. Lynae will give us depth at the guard position.”

Bradshaw, a 5-2 freshman from Belmont High in Boston, Mass., is the only freshman on the team this year. As a senior with the Marauders, she averaged 8.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 3.8 steals per game.

“Amari brings us depth and quickness at the point guard position,” Sullivan said. “She is an excellent defender, knows how to make her teammates better and has the ability to score as well.”
