Women's Basketball Meets Eckerd Saturday on Road

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Barry University women's basketball team will play at Eckerd 2 p.m. Saturday.

The game will be broadcast on the RADIOand VIDEO. Fans can follow along via LIVE STATS as well.

Barry (8-5, 1-3 Sunshine State Conference) is trying to put an end to a two-game skid after falling in a narrow loss to No. 3 Nova Southeastern Wednesday. Eckerd (7-6, 1-3) has lost its last two.

The Tritons have won the last two games in the series, but Barry owns the overall lead in the series, 33-19. Barry is 13-9 on the road when the two teams meet.

Liga Vente is averaging 12.5 points and 8.2 rebounds, and Amy Buccila (11.0) and Kayla Bowlin (10.7) are both scoring in double figures for the Tritons. Bowlin leads the team in assists at 4.3 per game. Eckerd is scoring 65 points per game.

Buccaneers junior guard Ines Kerin ranks 19th in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.12). She leads the SSC in that category. Senior guard/forward Tyler Hardy is the nation's 28th leading scorer at 19.8 points per game. She leads the league in scoring. Hardy also ranks 23rd in the nation in field goal percentage (56.9). She is pulling down 8.6 rebounds per game.

The Bucs are scoring 73.5 points per game.
