Barry University men's basketball player Anders Haas was selected to the Danish National Team.
Haas, a 6-foot guard who transfered from NCAA Division I Albany, fulfilled a lifelong dream with his selection to his native Denmark's National Team.
"I'm just excited to represent my country," Haas said. "It's been a lifelong dream of mine."
Haas has been training with the team and recently played in a few games in Estonia. The Danish Team is headed to Bulgaria to play, and will try to qualify for the 2015 European Championships.
"Training twice a day, just getting in shape, I feel by the end of August I'll be in season shape," Haas said. "Also, just the experience, just playing with some great players, that will help.
"It's exciting to represent your country with Denmark on your shirt. It's been fun."
