MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry University women's tennis team is ranked No. 2 in NCAA Division II, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll released Wednesday.

The poll was compiled with records prior to last weekend's match against No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic. Barry (18-0) beat Armstrong, 5-4, to end the Pirates' 43-match win streak at Buccaneer Tennis Center.

The Pirates remained No. 1 in this month's poll. The next Division II poll is not scheduled to be released until May 1.

Barry jumped from two spots in the poll, having been ranked No. 4 last month. The Bucs were ranked No. 5 in the preseason.

Freshman Elisabeth Abanda is ranked No. 28 in singles. Sophomore Linda Fritschken is 33rd, and freshman Emma Onila is 41. Abanda and Onila are No. 11 as a doubles team.

The Buccaneers host No. 8 Lynn (11-2) at 3 p.m. Monday in Miami Shores.
